Corporate Gateway Cell

Corporate Gateway Cell (CGC) in DIHE Campus plays a very crucial role in bridging the gap between academia and industry. The CGC Department facilitates the transition from education to the professional world by connecting students with potential employers. CGC Cell works on Industry Collaborations by maintaining long-term relations with potential companies, conducting on-campus recruitment drives and job fairs, scheduling resume-building sessions and workshops, mock GD/PI sessions, helping students for centralized summer internship opportunities, and many more.

CGC has a centralized placement cell focusing on inviting heads of leading companies to the campus who share their insights into the latest issues and concerns and enlighten the students of DIHE campus with an intellectually fostering environment.

Summer Internship Program

Overview

The SIP Program is designed to provide real projects and teach lean industry practices at DIHE – MBA curriculum and is highly valued for its relevance to management professional settings along with classroom learnings.

Internship Details

  • Summer Internship Training is provided to MBA students after completion of their second semester.
  • Students are placed as interns in different MNCs for a duration of 6-8 weeks on a specific project according to their areas of specialization.
  • Internships provide students with a chance to develop new skills, whether technical, professional, or interpersonal, that can be beneficial in their future careers.
  • As a part of their SIP Report, students are required to submit a detailed report. The evaluation is based on presentation and a viva-voce assessment by internal and external examiners.
  • Summer Training process commences in the month of May every year.

Final Placement Process

Process Details

  • Placement process commences in the month of October every year.
  • Prominent companies have sought and utilized the intellectual capital of DIHE by participating in the final placement process.
  • The real proof of the quality and effectiveness of any MBA School lies in the acceptance of its graduates in the industry.
  • Thus, the placement of the graduating batch marks the culmination of the rigorous two-year MBA program at DIHE.
  • The budding managers are absorbed by MNCs, Indian Giants, and Public Sector firms from the DIHE Campus.

Placement Policy/ Rules for Final

  • All efforts are made to ensure a smooth and qualitative placement for the passing-out students.
  • The minimum CGPA preferred by most companies is 6.
  • It is mandatory for interested students to get registered with the CGC Department to take part in campus placement activities by signing an undertaking form.
  • One student, one offer is our placement policy.
  • Students are strictly not allowed to communicate with company officials. All queries should be routed through the CGC Department only.
  • Need-based changes can be made in the placement policy as and when required.
  • A student will not be considered eligible for any placement assistance if found to be punished under any sort of disciplinary action or defaults to appear for the interview.
  • Students should strictly adhere to points given in the notifications of all companies once he/she registers for it.

Skill Elevation Sessions

Empowering students with constant and regular training in communication skills to make them corporate-ready. Along with technical advancements and proficiency, overall personality development and impeccable communication and presentation skills are the need of the hour.

To accomplish this task with complete perfection, the CGC Department has a dedicated team of professional trainers who ensure continuous monitoring and hand-holding of the corporate readiness journey.

Training Sessions

  • GD/PI Sessions: GD and PI sessions prepare students by promoting self-awareness, collaboration, leadership, and critical thinking, which are crucial for any MBA/MCA graduate aiming for a successful placement.
  • Placement Grooming Sessions: These sessions go beyond academic knowledge and focus on developing essential soft skills, including body language, dressing etiquette, punctuality, and overall grooming. Different techniques such as mindfulness, breathing exercises, and relaxation strategies are often incorporated into the sessions.
  • PDP Sessions: These sessions are designed to focus on the overall growth of students, enhancing their personal and professional qualities to help them succeed in both interviews and their future careers.
  • Mock Interview Sessions: By participating in mock interviews, students are better prepared to face real-world placement challenges and increase their chances of securing a job in a competitive market.
